The Bergeron Centre of Engineering at York University is an award winning design that reflects a cloud like design encompassing 7,000 triangular panels installed over nine different radii on plan in a mathematically derived arrangement that never repeats.
- Designed geometry for 7,000 panels from architectural model & scan data.
- Designed support structure for the architectural panels (primary & secondary girts)
- Scanned dense board and window frame locations to determine deviation from nominal.
- Used scanned data to modify girt locations and panel sizes to reflect the as-built conditions.
- Performed layout for all substructure (primary & secondary girts).
- Assisted in layout of the glass and panels.
